The original factory installed Bentley satellite navigation unit is such a bad performer that the satellite navigation cd rom disk has no post code search capability. The speed of the satellite navigation unit is also very slow for a £100k car.
Additionally there is no DAB in the Bentley, the Bluetooth struggles with Apples IOS 8 onwards and has limited ability to store phone numbers. There is also no DVD drive and any form of video/audio streaming is non-existent.
The Bentley factory sound system may have high wattage and over 10 speakers but the sound lacks real depth and any sense of real bass.

Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 1
>> BENHUR + Custom Head unit.
This option will give you the new BENHUR kit which replaces your existing factory headunit system. Once the BENHUR kit is installed you can then chose to install a double-din unit of your choice, such as Kenwood / Pioneer / JVC / Alpine. B&B Audioconcepts recommends KENWOOD units as they have all the latest features and work seamlessly with the BENHUR. Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 2
>> As in option 1 but with a HD Rear Camera
The Rear HD camera features a CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) sensor that offers improved resolution and eliminates the vertical light “smear” that occurs with a very bright light source or direct sunlight. The Rear HD camera utilizes a built-in power supply with minimal connections for easier installation and its compact size provides hassle-free mounting. The improved CMOS sensor reduces the glare during daytime use and has improved low-light capability for improved daytime and nighttime use.
Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 3
>> As in option 2 but with a dash camera with lane assist and collision warnings
B&B Audioconcepts use a Dashboard Camera that is equipped with 3 Megapixel Full Hi-Vision recording and accident avoidance features. 3 Megapixel Recording provides higher resolution than Full Hi-Vision (1920 x 1080). HDR (High Dynamic Range) for Backlighting, allows recording of clear images in dark or well lit settings without underexposing or overexposing the image. Equipped with the latest in accident avoidance sensor technology. Sensors detect the distance between your car and the vehicle ahead of you, and if a safe distance is not maintained a warning will sound. Collision Avoidance works at 20 MPH and up. Lane departure warning, detects the lane your vehicle is in and alerts you with a warning sound when the vehicle drifts from the current lane. Lane Departure works at 40 MPH and up. Super Capacitor supplies power in the event that vehicle battery power is lost, this prevents the recorded video file from being corrupted due to lost power, as it provides enough power to allow the video file to close properly.
Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 4
>> As in option 3 but with digital TV Freeview
Watch TV on the move, with reception at up to 70mph. Freeview TV Tuner with HDMI input & Output. Freeview TV Tuner supports HD channels in the UK and Europe. HDMI input to support mirror link for Android and IOS devices. Supports USB up to 2TB in size.
Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 5
>> As in Option 4 but with rear screens
This is the next popular choice after option 4, Rear HD Screens take input from the front screen. Features available are USB/DVD/SD/TV playback and they have Infra Red for headphones. For the Bentley Flying Spur we can install Rosen HD Screens which can play independent dvd media as well as take input from front screen. Our install team can custom fit the HD screens into the headrests to give the professional finish.
Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 6
>>As in option 1 but with added speaker upgrade
There are a few different brand of speakers that we would install into a Bentley, such as X-FIRE, FOCAL, AUDISON, JLAUDIO and HERTZ. The Bentley is fully soundproofed before the speakers are upgraded. The speaker of choice at the moment is the X-Fire range. The X-Fire speakers are made from carbon-glass cones which are durable yet lightweight exhibiting high sensitivity levels requiring less input power to achieve musical nirvana. The XFR speaker range project crisp, responsive detail allowing every musical note and nuance to shimmer with rich unaltered detail.
Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 7
>> As in option 6 plus BENHUR + Custom Head unit + Speakers + Amplifier
An amplifier boosts electric signals, increasing the overall power. In the context of basic car audio, the amplifier takes low-power output signals from a CD player, auxiliary connection, or radio, and increases the strength of the signal to the point where it can power speakers and subwoofers. External amps are generally more powerful than the amps built into car stereos. Generally, there are two reasons to install an external car amplifier: to power more or larger speakers or to improve sound quality. Other reasons to install a power amp might include replacing a broken in-dash amplifier or adding features like an equalizer or auxiliary input to an existing stereo. There are many types available including four-channel and five-channel amplifiers. Bentley Audio Upgrade Option 8
>> As in option 7 but with added subwoofer upgrade
Subwoofer speakers are designed to produce low frequency sounds, or bass. Even if you don’t want to rattle the windows of the car next to you at a traffic light, bass is an integral part of any audio system, giving you depth and realism. Most high end factory systems include built in subwoofers, but they are usually too small to optimally handle low frequency sounds. Factory stereo systems leave a lot to be desired. They’re often programmed with equalization (EQ) curves that compensate for the system’s lack of power by reducing the level of the bass, for instance. And because the speakers are all located at different distances from you, the sound arrives at your ears at different times, making your music sound a little muddy. Often, the best solution is to replace the factory stereo as in Option1.
